Brother against brother. Reds against Whites.

An anti-war musical. The director’s central idea – a Russia crippled by revolution and civil strife – is most powerfully expressed through the crowd. The male and female chorus echoes the events and turning points of fate, grieving and lamenting alongside the characters, while sustaining a long, aching melody of hope.

“This is a joyful performance about the most serious matters – about a person’s place in life during times of social upheaval. The theme remains relevant today. Someone once said: “May God spare you from living in interesting times.” The more “interesting” the era, the harder it is for a person to find themselves.”
